Bridge over the Valley of the Shadow of Death

Inspired by an emergency surgery, and the wonderful people I met in the hospital. Fortunately, in the world of emergencies and surgeries this one was extremely minor, but I did come in contact with so many people during those few days who literally were fighting for their lives. I was amazed at the ability of the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff to make everyone as comfortable and calm as possible.

This artwork is inspired by those people who are often able to help provide a temporary bridge over that valley we will all eventually walk through.
