When first arrived in Asia, I had a layover in South Korea's Incheon International Airport (ICN). Although I was excited to be finally in Asia I got hit with a giant case of culture shock. As soon as I stepped off the plane there were no more familiar faces. Seattle is a very diverse place so it was strange to me to see a place where there is primarily 1 or few differing ethnicities. I had never left the US on my own before so it was a strange site to see. That combined with all the languages I was hearing in the background and having trouble knowing where to go really made me question my decision to study abroad.
