Stribor's Forest Concept Art - character design

Concept art for "Stribor's forest" animation project. This one is a design for a character of son from the original Croatian fairy tale. He presented a specific type of challenge since it is a character that is both positive and negative, depending on the point in story, and one that makes a 180 degree turn at the end after reaching rock bottom in his relationship to the character of mother. I have tried to achieve the design that would allow for expressing all of those contrasting mind sets...
