The Pain of the Dancer

This piece was created for Makers Place 100 Day Project. This was for Day 11: Most Uncomfortable Shoes. Instead of specifically drawing shoes, I wanted to create a piece that shows the effects and feeling of uncomfortable shoes.This piece creates a contrast between the beauty and grace of a dancers legs and positioning with the grotesque coloring and imagery on the feet themselves. For despite the beauty of their craft, their shoes and the work puts a strain on their feet often causing much pain after long hours and years of dancing.
