Veriamus

Veriamus is a character that I created for my comic book saga, Planet X. He was inspired by King Baldwin from "The Kingdom of Heaven." I was very moved by the biography of the real King Baldwin of Jerusalem, and I wanted to create a character in his honor, one who faced similar challenges , but who was rewarded with a happier ending.

Veriamus is a King in a pre-Babylonian civilization lying on the Sea of Maghreb. Like King Baldwin, he also contracted leprosy in childhood, and he was also forced into fighting unwanted wars. Due to his noble character and pristine soul, he goes down in history as one of humanity's greatest and most beloved Kings.
