Giants Pt. 2 of 2-
Textures, colors, and atmosphere are my favorite aspects of forest photography. The vast number of textures and shades of greens and browns make every photograph captured in these places unique. And this image hits all those marks for me. The varying textures of the two trees that frame a misty fog filled forest with beautiful shades of greens creats the exact thing I look for in forest photography.
Originally when I captured this, I didn't think anything of it. I felt it was quite boring for my current style. But after sitting on my computer for over eight months I finally came back to it and realized how much I truly loved it. As my style had shifted over those months from only enjoying dramatic and colorful scenes to enjoying more of the understated ones, I realized this image was one of my best works. In my personal list, this one ranks within the top three. It shows my growth and how much I have matured as a photographer, two things I’m very proud of.
