I wish I could paint it exactly how I see it, but the colors are just too bright and vibrant. The rich and complex movement is too much for any painting to ever capture.
That said, this is kind of what I see during phase shifts; Before I transition fully, I see people as silhouettes punched into a four-dimensional ocean of explosive colors and bright lights. Everything bends, explodes, attracts and diverges from us like we're human-shaped black holes moving through a thick fluid of energy: affecting it, absorbing it, but not emitting it.
Anyway, that lasts for like half a second and it probably doesn't mean much, but I always enjoy it.
I remember expecting the opposite, though, the first time I went through. Why does everything glow BUT the humans? Maybe, hopefully, humans emit some kind of light we're unable to see, even during phase shifts.
Why do I even want us to emit light? I can't explain it, but it would just make more sense.
