Windmill is the first sketch of Grandma’s Windmill, a work rooted in childhood memories and a deep connection to place. Growing up beside a windmill, I experienced it not only as a structure, but as a living presence that responded to the rhythms of weather and time.
The work explores memory, atmosphere, and the emotional shifts embedded within familiar landscapes, where an ordinary object becomes a symbol of change, stability, and belonging.
