Invisible Oceans Founder's Collection: Invisible Oceans #93: Copepoda I

One of the rarer, 'flamboyant' copepods whose feather-like antennae and swimming limbs are refracting the sunlight and producing structural colours. The red area is part of the digestive tract. Antennae in copepods do not only sense surroundings, but they are also big enough and strong enough to act as powerful propulsion limbs when the animal wants to beat a hasty retreat, or effect an evasive move.
