Porpita meets its match, as a sea slug, Glaucus, closes in on its tentacles, munching away until it gets to the disc and mantle. It will also partly devour these, leaving only the plastic-like husk of the disc to drift across the ocean until it makes landfall, or waterlogged, sinks as marine snow to the depths. Another remarkable fact about this sea slug, is that it is both male and female, therefore a hermaphrodite having both male and female sex organs.
