Natarajasana, also known as Lord of the Dance Pose, is a deep backbend and standing balance that requires focus. The pose is named after the Hindu God Shiva Nataraja, King of the Dance, who finds bliss in the midst of destruction. Like its namesake, Lord of the Dance Pose embodies finding steadying calm within. This pose is a balance between effort and ease that requires your full attention. Some days you may fall out of the pose and other days you may be steady and strong.
As in yoga it is in life, each day is a new chance to find your balance.
