Your Fave Potato: IRL - 25: Interstellar
First revelation of 25 – Stop hiding your magic. They can all see the universe flowing through you.
This piece is a depiction of the moment I realized the above. There's a certain level of esteem I gained from separating myself from groups that do not align with me.
In all honesty, I am not that well liked in real life. Not because I'm mean or that strange, but disagreeable...
In childhood, being disagreeable resulted in being ostracized and vilified. Painted out to be the "bad guy". Yet, shrinking to fit in led to internal suffering and ultimately imploding.
It wasn't until 2021 I understood how much of a blessing in disguise that was. By existing in solitude, I learned could take up as much space as I needed. Enough room for a universe to grow within and around me.
The painting being held is merely the representation of being demonized and the grievances that come with that.
But if being demonized means that I can fully exist and take up space in my own body... I will continue to choose that as many times as I have to.
