fourth quadrant of year 148 of Oto era
my sweet petunia,
i remember clearly your image gazing up at the stars in the sky, looking for answers to our ailments. there is nothing written in the stars, they have not developed this technology yet. though the stars may not be able to tell us our future, my dearest, they still can help us with some perspective on life. everything we worry about is so small when looking at the stars. and yet, every single thought we have is a universe within itself. the advice given by the celestial bodies is of constant motion of looking wide and looking focused. everything is simultaneously gigantic and insignificant.
faithfully yours,
Qian
(this soggy note was found at the bottom of an old wine barrel acquired for firewood. i have no idea who these people are nor what kind of date is that, but the message is nice.)
