networked.art: Free Birds

Free Birds was developed as a study of avian flight and collective behavior. The animation explores rhythm, direction, and continuity through 170 hand-drawn frames, depicting a flock of white birds in constant motion against a black background. While most of the birds appear and disappear, three remain continuously present, introducing a subtle tension between transformation and permanence.
