BIG BOSS BURN: Bertha Joyce Boyce

Chef Bertha Joyce Boyce is one of the Eastbourne Four, a group of four chefs and bakers who came from nothing to sculpting the contemporary culinary landscape. Boyce, known as ‘Joyless Boyce’ during her heyday was an infamously brutal tyrant in the kitchen. She was the youngest chef to receive three Michelin stars at sixteen.
