Fantasy Tarot: II/XXII The High Priestess

The High Priestess personifies the wisdom of a female being in a mystical, magical and metaphysical sense. This is the ability to see through, read minds and guess the past and future. This is an eternal female goddess of the ancient world, carrying knowledge and spiritual wisdom and at least equal to a man.

The card depicts a seated woman crowned with a tiara emitting moonlight. On her lap she has a Torah or a book of the highest Secret Law. Behind the Priestess are two pillars of fire. Her black and white hair from different sides represent good and evil. Her cape is a symbol of virginity. The fire on both sides is a kind of gate, a portal of knowledge. To pass it, you need to become who the Priestess is. Showing the book, she says that higher secrets exist Behind the burning fires you can see the calm surface of the water.
