Before RedLight’s double Emmy win for “2.5 Broke Kids” and “Koreans in autonomous cars eating toffee”, the app was working her way to the top by bombing on open-mic’s six nights a week and interning for Conan’s, assistant’s, disembodied consciousness… Not by reading her audience’s reactions via their smartwatches, then workshopping her standup material in real-time.
