This was taken in Uganda in 2019 when we trekked through the forest for 2 hours to find this wild silver back gorilla family hanging out in Bwindi National Park.

I came into close contact with the alpha male, standing 1 meter away directly in front when I took this shot.

Though terrified deep down, I felt a deep connection with him as he stared into my soul with gentleness and curiosity.
