The High Landers worship dragons,
using them to bring peace and justice
to their side of the world.
But there was a time when dragons
ruled not only the skies, but the land as well.
Every living thing was their prey,
until the High Landers learned how to hunt them.
For a short time, hunting dragons
even became a sport among the High Landers.
But that did not last long.
One night, a horde of dragons appeared in the sky.
Then, a giant one emerged, covering the moon,
and everything beneath it turned pitch black.
That night, many died,
and many cities fell.
The old folk believe the giant dragon
was the first of its kind,
the mother of all dragons.
Many united with the High Landers
to defeat the dragons.
But one of the gods intervened
and gifted fire to the giant.
One thing led to another,
and a battle between the gods began.
A battle that would last
for a very, very long time...
