In Euskera (Basque language) the month of April (apirila) means "month in which the flowers open".
The Pyrenees are full of unique places, and very unknown, because you have to hike a lot to reach the locations. This makes the mountains very uncrowded and totally wild. In spring a flower called the cotton flower, comes out in the high altitude meadows. This flower is very sensitive to pollution, which means that the air you breathe in these mountains is very pure.
