This piece stems from the same exploration as Swept. I had been going through old work and this was one of those images that always stuck with me. It was strong on its own but I knew it could go further. I wanted to see what else could be achieved by masking parts of the outputs and layering everything together. The body doesn’t move much because it can’t. I wanted the glitch to feel like the soul trying to escape while the body is locked in place. The man is being held and you don’t know if he makes it. That uncertainty is the piece. The colors cycling through are the last signal the body sends before everything goes quiet. AI generated music by Birddog
