Daily Program / Season #3: Schwag Man

"Schwag Man" follows a similar thread to "Shifting Bodies", moving away from portraits and focusing on people, movement and distortion. With this one I was pushing further into what I could do with the loops themselves, finding ways to distort and enhance them to give each one its own feel. The song came together at the same time as the piece which doesn't always happen. At the time, I was experimenting with early hip-hop influenced tracks built around DJ scratching and the lyrics were completely accidental. I was working on an early version of the visual, heard it, and it just fit. I kept building both until they felt done.
