This image needs no title. Or maybe, if the truth be told, I couldn't think of a title that captured the moment. Is it the past, walking by the future? Something about age and beauty and youth and culture ...? So now it's Untitled #3.
I was in Tokyo, near the entrance to Yoyogi Park, on the Harajuku side. I had a day free from a shoot in Tokyo, so I went to visit Meiji Jingu, the Shinto shrine that sits nestled in the park. It always brings me a sense of peace, the long walk in the forest, passing through the massive torii gates, and then finally the quiet that envelopes the shire itself. The stillness is remarkable considering I had just left the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku.
This is one of those fortunate accidents you find in your camera when you get back to the hotel. I was 'shooting from the hip' as they say.
