Veil of Judgement
In "Veil of Judgement," I explore the duality of justice and the inherent darkness within human morality. The figure holds scales but is shrouded in decay and darkness, symbolizing the flawed, subjective nature of justice as humans understand it. The horns and twisted branches sprouting from her crown represent the tangled web of biases and inner conflicts that influence every judgment. This piece challenges the viewer to confront the imperfect, often haunted aspect of justice—an ideal corrupted by personal prejudice and societal constructs. Through the smoke and shadows, I aim to depict the elusive balance between fairness and the unavoidable human imperfection that taints our understanding of right and wrong.
