For ten years, I’ve sat with this photograph I made, not merely observing but delving into its depths, reflecting on the delicate intersection of our creative desires and the chaotic digital atmosphere that dictates so much of our existence. This image, frozen in time, embodies more than just a visual moment; it encapsulates the complex emotional landscape we navigate as creatives - constantly yearning to connect with nature, yet bound by the pulse of cryptographic charts and the cold logic of virtual economies.
Through this journey of introspection, I began to merge photography with animation, weaving together elements of the natural world and digital abstraction to explore the tension between the raw beauty of the earth and the artificial constructs that often govern our livelihoods. It’s a visual narrative that speaks to the paradox of our lives: in pursuit of freedom, we find ourselves tethered to invisible forces beyond our control, forces that shape our every move in a space unwilling to be detached from cryptocurrency.
This work is a reflection on the endurance required to exist in this duality. The animation serves as an evolution of the photograph - not merely a movement, but a manifestation of the constant oscillation between the organic and the synthetic, the grounded and the abstract. It is a meditation on what it means to be a creator in an age where nature calls, but the market speaks louder.
After a handful of non-sales on Lens, each coming with a subsequent addition to the animation, an earlier version had been posted on Zora as a coin. It has been "coined." This is the 1 of 1 with some of the additions, now including a Zorb, up for auction.
