Date: Unknown Location: Shattered Peaks Time: Lost to the winds
I have ventured far into the Shattered Peaks, a place that feels as though it should not exist in the waking world. The anomaly here is beyond comprehension. The land itself… it breathes. I can feel it beneath my feet—rising and falling, as if the earth itself is alive, pulsing with an eerie, steady rhythm. The frost, eternal and biting, seems to stretch outwards, a frozen breath that refuses to die, suspended in time.
But it is not just the land that moves. The mountains… they speak. The peaks are alive, somehow, whispering in the wind. Their voice is ancient, a guttural hum that carries on the icy breeze. It is like the very stone groans in sorrow, and the echoes that reverberate from them pierce my mind, seeping into my thoughts. Every step I take, every breath I draw, I hear the mountains’ words—though they are not words at all. They are fractured sounds, half-formed, like pieces of a language that should never have been spoken. They gnaw at my sanity.
I had thought the cold would be the worst of it. But the frost is nothing compared to what lies in the depths of this place. The mountains—these cursed, broken peaks—are not just made of rock and ice. They seem to have a soul, a sentience that is as old and cracked as the land itself. I can feel it watching me. They know I am here. And they know they are driving me toward madness.
The whispers in the wind grow louder, more insistent. The land is shifting, the very fabric of reality seems to be unraveling. My mind is no longer my own. I am becoming a part of this place—a shard of its fractured existence. Each breath draws me deeper into the anomaly, each pulse of the land blurs the line between myself and the mountains. I fear I have lost myself here, lost in the eternal frost and the voices of the Shattered Peaks.
I can feel my thoughts splintering. The clarity that I once had is slipping away, replaced by the maddening echoes of the peaks, their endless murmurs. The frost will consume me, and the mountains will speak my name, though I will no longer be able to hear it.
I am fractured. I am shattered.
And soon, I will be nothing but another whisper lost in the cold. ....
