ALCDFNDTN: Fractured Vessel

Combining handcrafted elements with digital precision, each piece features lifelike, lifeless mannequins adorned with the alice_d. butterfly logo—a striking emblem composed of mirrored faces forming its wings and fractal reflections throughout its design.

Without the presence of wings, this piece narrows its focus to the mannequin itself, stripped of overt ornamentation yet layered with intricacy. The body is adorned with a fractal texture of faces, almost like a digital armor that both protects and exposes. The absence of the butterfly highlights a more grounded confrontation with identity, as if the figure is in the midst of shedding or redefining its layers. Its stark monochromatic contrast, punctuated by vivid, glitch-like details, draws attention to the tension between organic humanity and synthetic construction. “Fractured Vessel” feels like an intermediary stage—neither wholly human nor entirely artificial, it stands as a reflection of transformation caught in flux.
