On the first day, a white anon crosses the square slowly, faceless, nameless, and naked, and stops before the light everyone fears to open a gold watch. It has no hands. It has green and red candles, and the thin wick of what almost happened.
The Philosopher has just been born into the World of Voxels, and he is afraid of everything. Little by little, he keeps meeting the white anon in the moments when things hesitate. He wanders through parties under purple trees, a corridor of screens that keeps the memory of artists, the cellar of a shady clown who mends what others abandoned, and the noisy lot of the low effort punks. He climbs a staircase to the sky and comes down, red, in a world where things cast shadows. He helps save a gallery, burns a plot of land so that no one will ever own it again, and writes the lines of a monster with a chain on his feet, who waits to be heard before he is judged.
A prequel to The Glitch Frontiers of the Sky, The White Anon is a philosophical adventure about identity, names, ownership, governance and friendship among pseudonyms. It is also about the oldest doubt of anyone who lives inside a made world. What if someone is writing us?
