In the World of Voxels, a metaverse where stories hang on signs, the official storyteller discovers, on an ordinary night, that his name has vanished from all of them. Guided by a page fallen from the sky and followed by a faceless Anon, he sets out in search of the Self, the creator of the world, crossing islands of gnomes at war, gardens of druids who became plants, cities of endless carnival and a lake where greed took on a body. Written as a letter from a father to his son and divided into five books, the last of them a graphic novel, the novel follows a narrator who, searching for the author of the world, finds again the people who wrote that world alongside him. What he finds at the top of the glitch frontiers of the sky is not what he was looking for. It is a philosophical fable about authorship, memory and solitude, and about the life of the communities that form in digital worlds.
