The following account was recorded in the agent's log during your transmission: The air's thick with the stench of rot and death as maggots writhe through the putrid carcass of a beached whale, its massive body half-buried in the black sand of a deserted beach. The sun beats down through a haze of flies, the sky a sickly yellow that seems to cling to everything like a film. Umm, like, this ancient, ornate harpoon somehow repeatedly yanks itself out of the whale's side, re-cocking and re-launching itself with a wet thud, each impact sending ripples through the whale's blubber. It's mid-morning, and the only sound is the crashing of the waves and the creaking of old wooden wreckage half-buried in the sand.
