What have I done?
My hands are shaking, but it's too late. The ink is my blood, and it has soaked into this damned parchment. I took the pen myself, I signed it myself. No one pulled me by force, only a quiet voice whispered promises. Now it laughs.
I knew I was standing on the edge, but the pain, despair, the burning desire to do the impossible overcame. The price seemed justified, but I bought a lie and sold myself. The shadows around me look, reproaching. Didn't I see the flame in the eyes of the one who extended his hand to me?
Now my soul burns even before the flames of hell. This contract is a part of me. I traded the light for emptiness.
What have I done? - sounds in my head, but there is no answer.
Only silence... and laughter from the darkness.
