mid-may at lake louise. the ice was still breaking apart, clouds hung low enough to hide everything, and the snow kept drifting in and out like it couldn’t decide what season it was.
usually, places like this help quiet my mind. but that day, the silence outside couldn’t reach the noise in my head. it mirrored it. the view felt eerie, like something was about to go wrong, even though nothing was. maybe that’s just how anxiety colors things.
still, there was a softness to it all. the low clouds, the blurred edges, the blue of it. heavy. beautiful. and somehow, enough.
