Your Silence Has Been Recorded

A mood piece for anyone who’s ever tried to unsubscribe from being human

Boris Eldagsen has made a video that doesn’t move forward, but inward. It does not seek beauty, it seeks witnessing. You think you’re watching the video, but no: it’s watching you, like memories that never fully formed - accusing you of never having become a reality. The work stares directly into your limbic system and says: This is your humanity on autoplay. Faces appear, faces dissolve. The protagonists are emotional cyborgs - echoes of a self we handed over in exchange for love and forgot to ask back. No one talks. No one moves. And yet: everything aches. The figures don’t speak because you don’t let them. Their silence isn’t passive — it’s charged: It’s an archive of what could never be spoken, the echo of a cry that’s been archived, tagged, and never listened to again. These emotional cyborgs wait for you to recognize yourself. You won't. Not at first. But something in you will twitch. A feeling will silently leak into you - and stay: the soft terror of being seen too closely, and not at all
