Xisal combines three separate periodic formulae, mappping each one onto a dot-matrix grid with separate ranges and offsets. Noise is taken from circular motion on a 2D noise field with its own radius and offset. These values are mapped onto a range of colours according to one of seven different algorithms, and rotation is added to produce interference patterns with a choice from eight rendering modes.
The initial seed for this loop of 480 frames is 447737, which selects function 4 with offset (50.0, -68.0), range (0.0, 2.0), and function 2 with offset (-97.0, -9.0), range (5.0, -6.9). Noise is produced from sampling points on an ellipse at co-ordinates (-83.0, -49.0) with diameters (4.0, 6.0). The three formulae are combined using algorithm 7 with hue values starting at 325 with range 32. The grid is 224 units square.
