Here, material leaves a record of it's direction of travel, but as more material passes through that direction is slowly rotated. Things form cycles for awhile until that rotation builds and breaks them up, forcing new equilibria. Based on an advective neural cellular automaton with a Physarum-like inertia term. / @ngutten
