World's Deepest Eel

The deepest true eel ever recorded from the scientists who took it. This is the never released unedited raw data as it came from the lander vehicle. The eel, likely Ilyophis robinsae, was recorded at 6,068 m/19,908 ft depth. To date, this is the only observation of an anguilliform at hadal depths - i.e., greater than 6,000 m/19,685 ft deep.
