Withering away

This collection is part of my personal project < Embrace Aging >, which I use wild plants and my own body as the main subjects to honor the grace of age, to express the evanescent feminine beauty and the built-in female pain, the deep connection between female and nature. The stones represent the 3rd element - soil (or earth) in the traditional Chinese "Wuxing" philosophy, where both human beings and plants live. The kneeling and stooping down pose, as a sign of aging, also means the human humbleness before the God of Nature.

The art piece was selected by every international group exhibition upon my submission ever since its creation in March 2023, and a 2nd prize award was about to be announced in 2 weeks ( the winners were notified in advance)
