Winter Kingdom

"An outsider from the tropical lands is escorted to the Winter Kingdom." In this piece I gradually sculpted the composition in order to frame the characters well and guide the viewer's eyes towards the frozen city. Prismatic colors in the bird's feathers add subtle yet complex accents within the painting. The challenge was to stay loose while maintaining a strong composition.
