My first Wall Mural ever! very special to me, made with Chal Rangde Foundation in Khar, Mumbai.
Painted the slums of Mumbai for Social upliftment of the community. This Painting too me days to make in the sun, with huge scaffolding which was all very new to me then. It was all worth it as the community came together with my art and gave me immense love back, little did I know what I had done.
My next visit, I notice a drastic change. Earlier that morning the kids swept the floor around before heading to school to keep it clean. Soon after the tourists showed up with translators, to take pictures of the artworks, and especially enjoyed this one with kids. They wanted to eat local and so the small huts served what they could from their homes 'chulha', Sabji and Chapati paired with chai! & they loved it.
This wall, my first wall, showed me how powerful art is and inspired me to become a full time Mural Artist and now a Travel Artist.
