When The Chips Are Down
"When the Chips Are Down" In a difficult situation : when things are not good True friends will stand by you when the chips are down.
In the world of gambling, gamers put these chips down when they want to make a bet. Once the chips have been put down on the board –bet is considered to be final and one can not change it. So, that is a critical and nervous moment –when your fate depends on the outcome of the game.
Politics are the game now. It's time to reclaim our true friends, and celebrate them, regardless of politics.
It's time to come together despite our differences....
Once upon a time, I constructed a portrait of Donald Trump made entirely of Cheetos.
A devastating story engaged me; a democracy of dreams had turned into a nation of nightmares.
Centralization, analytics and Web 2.0 had silo-ed our citizens.
An uncivil conversation of Brothers warring with words ensued. Sisters striking kin and kid with poisonous, political rhetoric. Media monetizing maliciousness made madness of this magnificent land....
Politicians on both extremes pitted against the other.
Dems and Repubs mirrored hate, and greed, and gnashing teeth, and no wisdom of the forefather.
Blinded with no passion to protect the future or peace or planet.
Once upon a time, I created a portrait of Donald Trump made entirely out of Cheetos.
Can art save the world? Probably not. Can web 3.0? Can combining the two?
I believe it CAN, and WILL, if designed correctly. If shepherded by consciousness.
Art can urge us to swallow the purple pill. Not Red. Not Blue.
One Nation. One People. One America. One DDemocracy.
This is my hope for saving our entire, beautiful world. For saving our democracy, our land. For saving our souls.
Please join us on this journey. "Chew On It." Swallow the purple pill. No Red. No Blue. Just US. Together.
If alive at this time, the Beatles might have sung; "Come together. Right now. Over Web3." And Art.
Salom. Adoni. Amen. Aho. LOVE. Firestone
