What If I've Lost My Mind?

What If I’ve lost my mind? And all that I am is an illusion of time? Here, but not really There, yet ungrounded; uncertain Feet planted in false reality

Doubts echo off the occiput White noise fills the cranium A slow swelling weight threatens Likely too heavy to bear A flood waiting to recur Temporal dam temporarily breached Parietal cracks reappear

Until, softly: "Slow down, breathe; gather yourself," I hear "We’re all crazy—there’s nothing to fear"

Momentary peace abounds Mental feet find solid ground Yet another illusion? The questions still resound For now though, we hold onto this healing we’ve found
