Way Out There

In the desert, the days are long, and they're hot. On this particular trip to the Mojave Desert, temperatures were surpassing 110 degrees during the day. A fire in San Bernardino made for some tragically beautiful sunsets. This is one of my favorite shots, complete with a couple sunstars beaming through the arms of an iconic Joshua Tree.
