Wave
If we lose a loved one, are they gone forever?
A human being is a pattern of information moving through spacetime as a wave. The matter that makes you is ever changing as you absorb and expel molecules throughout each day. Every 7-10 years almost all the cells in your body will have been replaced. You are not a physical thing. You are a pattern.
Your pattern is not contained by your physical form. Your actions in this world will connect and intertwine your pattern with- and into the minds of others.
When you die, some details of your pattern will be lost - but all those whose minds you’ve touched, will still hold you within them.
A memory is a physical pattern of strengthened connections between neurons in a brain. For as long as your memory is carried, your pattern will still exist in this world. Still affecting people, their actions, their dreams and their future.
Your thoughts, values and aspirations can still propagate long after your physical form has ceased to exist. Immortality is possible, but it is up to you to set it in motion.
