Red, white and blue were what I was drawn to start with. At first, I thought the painting, War Paint, had something to do with American patriotism, like Fourth of July, but I later learned it was a warrior whose lower face had been shot at. Their connection to consciousness at the top of their head is unscathed. The warrior’s energy feels female, even though her male energy is present, and could be Native American. She’s one of my most popular paintings.
