Edition of 1. #WordsOfData is a series of digital pieces from Fernandez Curell that with the use of digital production techniques, focuses on the contrast between an overload of information and the void produced by new technologies. Data from Twitter is the main raw material in the project. Each piece makes use of thousands of tweets extracted from the social media platform to transform its metadata into iterative visual mantras.

In #war, 10.000 tweets gathered during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and containing the hashtag #nowar are the raw material for the piece. Each tweet metadata defines aspects of the animated elements such as number of elements, velocity and color variations.
