"So you had a white heart inside your gray surface. So you had high mountains of ice that braced you. Who could stand your coldness?
But there you are, in all your magnificence, with your immense solitude, enlightening us. Dwarf."
- Luz A. Santana (Vida de Plutón, 2018)
This image is part of Vida de Plutón (Life of Pluto), a photobook published by Pequeño Pato Salvaje in 2018. The book is an introspective journey that carries the reader through a universe of emotional sensations inspired by memory, doubt, and fear of life.
Just like the planet Pluto that was kept far away and forgotten for a long time until a space mission reached the planet and discovered its heart, Vida de Plutón (Life of Pluto) represents the author’s return to herself, to recover her heart.
This image was shot using Polaroid mounted in a 4x5 large format camera.
