Vanishing Point

The Metasequoia tree-lined road in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, presents a miraculous sight in late autumn. After the autumn leaves have fallen to the ground and the morning commuters have passed over them, a beautiful stripe pattern stretches straight out toward the vanishing point, as if it were drawn by calculation.
