The wounds our loved ones inflict on us are understandably the most painful. it's the wicked irony of human nature. as the relationship progresses, you let the person get closer and closer to you, until they cross the line into unsafe distance. trust blinds you so much that you don't bother to check to see if they have a knife in their hand that they can stab you with.
