This animation explores the moment when a human being crosses a threshold that does not lead to another place, but to the disappearance of physical identity.
A solitary figure moves through a luminous rectangular gateway suspended above a dark reflective surface. The instant the body enters the portal, its solid form begins to break apart. The legs pass through first, followed by the torso and the remaining silhouette, which rapidly dissolves into thousands of pale particles, liquid droplets, and mist-like fragments.
The transformation is not violent. The figure does not fall, struggle, or mutate into another body. Instead, it is gradually stripped of physical form, as though the gateway converts matter into memory. What was once a recognizable person becomes an expanding cloud of luminous dust and water-like particles.
The scattered fragments arc outward before falling onto the dark surface below. Their impact creates ripples, reflections, and a temporary disturbance in the water. As the particles fade, the gateway remains standing alone—silent, illuminated, and unchanged.
The work presents transition as an act of surrender. Crossing the boundary does not reveal what exists on the other side; it removes the traveler from the visible world.
