Twisted Perceptions #7991
🎨 Twisted Perceptions – Velvet Cosmopolis
🖌️ CONCEPT / STORY
This piece captures a surreal collision between luxury culture, retro futurism, cosmic escapism, and dreamlike excess. Set inside an impossible nocturnal cityscape, the composition blends classical sculpture, astronauts, disco nostalgia, tropical architecture, and celestial symbolism into a single fragmented reality where time periods and identities dissolve into visual fantasy.
Every object functions like a subconscious memory artifact — the astronaut symbolizes detachment from reality, the marble bust reflects idealized perfection, while the floating planets, aircraft, and oversized moon distort the logic of physical space. The glamorous figures lounging beside vintage cars and reflective disco spheres create the illusion of a cinematic paradise suspended between wealth, loneliness, and artificial desire.
Rather than depicting a realistic world, the artwork behaves like a luxurious hallucination built from pop-cultural nostalgia, cosmic escapism, and fragmented dreams of status, beauty, and timeless decadence.
